I don't know what truth is. Truth is something unattainable. We can't think we're creating truth with a camera. But what we can do, is reveal something to viewers that allows them to discover their own truth.

Krista Imbesi is a filmmaker and teacher. Her area of specialty is documentary film, although she also has experience in cinematography, non-linear post-production workflows, producing and directing independent narratives, hand processing, and production of 16mm film, lighting and sound design as well as stop animation techniques. Her research interests include gender analysis in media, media literacy, animated documentary, collaborative filmmaking processes, avant garde practices, and the ethics associated with ethnographic film production. She has a passion for teaching undergraduate film students, and enjoys collaborating with others who are also passionate about their fields.
